What is the difference between business and home internet plans?
In many cases, the internet is a critical infrastructure for companies, so they expect high quality. Think about it: more than ten devices connect to an average home internet access only in time of larger family events. While a business internet has to serve up to 50-100 colleagues video conferencing, sending large files and running software in the cloud at the same time. A disconnection at home is at most a minor annoyance, but for a business, it can be a major loss. Moreover, families have typically very similar needs about internet, while businesses have very different ones.
That’s why our business internet plans offer customisable download and upload bandwidth and guaranteed bandwidth rates. All this is backed up by extremely high SLA, in many cases above 99%, and an always available, fast-responding customer service and troubleshooting team.
Which tariff plan should I choose?
The most important things to consider when choosing a business internet are where and how it will be used and the expected number of connecting devices. Just a few questions: how much data traffic do your colleagues handle? Do you run your server? Do you want to provide Wi-Fi for your customers? Do you need high upload bandwidth for live broadcasts or something else?
Fortunately, you don’t need to become a telecommunications expert yourself. When you contact us, our colleagues will ask you the right questions and, based on your answers, recommend the best solutions for your company.
Does Vannet have really 100% of coverage?
Yes, really. We have a range of technologies available in most parts of the country. If nothing else works, we can certainly provide the service with satellite which is independent of terrestrial wire networks.
How long will it take to connect the internet to my company?
Once you make the order, our colleagues will carry out an on-site assessment within a short time to determine whether the bandwidth you need is available. If the result is positive, our technicians will install the necessary equipment within a maximum of 30 days, but potentially within one week after the contract has been signed and the occurring installation costs have been paid.
What advantages does backup internet have?
If your primary internet connection is down for any reason – a technical problem with your service provider, a damaged cable or a planned outage – the backup service can take over immediately. With uninterrupted data traffic, your business can keep moving under all circumstances.
What should i do if internet doesn’t work?
Rarely, technical issues may occur even in our system. If you notice a service outage or technical malfunction, please call + 36 72/315-331, available 24 hours a day, so our staff can start working on it immediately.
What is the maximum available bandwidth?
With our microwave technology, we can offer a tailor-made, ultra-high bandwidth package for you. Up to 2000/2000 Mbps speeds are available – this is a symmetrical connection, meaning that download and upload speeds are equal. This can meet the needs of users with extremely high data traffic. If you need advice, our experts can help you estimate the necessary bandwidth, depending on your expected usage.
How stable and reliable is Vannet’s service?
The availability of our business internet service is very high. We guarantee 98% SLA for our traditional packages and 99.9% SLA for our leased line service.
Which plans come with a fixed IP address?
Every business tariff plans of Vannet include a fixed IP address.
What does symmetric and asymmetric connection mean?
Symmetric connections have equal upload and download speeds, while asymmetric connections have different speeds – typically download bandwidth is higher. Which is best for your business depends on the purpose of the service. Our experts can advise you on this too.
How much is the installation fee?
Our microwave-based plans are free to set up, but extra costs may apply based on an on-site assessment. We provide detailed information about these before you sign a contract. The tariff of our satellite packages includes a fixed installation fee. For our optic fibre packages, a preliminary survey is always required and the installation fee depends on how far your site is situated from the backbone network.
Should I choose a traditional plan or a leased line service?
The leased line service does not come with fixed tariff plans, so we tailor the bandwidth to your needs, up to 2000/2000 Mbps. Our traditional services, on the other hand, come with fixed tariff plans and they can provide you the same continuous, secure and high bandwidth access. We recommend a leased line if your company needs high guaranteed bandwidth, exceptionally high availability or extremely fast internet connections.
